D.C. United Amping up Fan Experience with New Stadium
Posted On: Jun 14, 2018

With a brand new stadium, D.C. United is taking this opportunity to create the best fan experience possible.

While almost all attention for sports in D.C. is currently centered around the Capitals (as it should), another team is also going through a very exciting time. D.C. United is just about 30 days out of the upcoming season with their brand new stadium, Audi Field.

Audi Field will aim to be an example of how sports stadiums should be in 2018. From luxury seating to world-class food options, it will be different from any other major sports team. With all these innovations, it has created more opportunities than normal for sponsorship. You can find all the details for Audi Field by clicking the link at the end of this article.

One of the many unique features of Audi Field are the concessions as famous chef Jose Andres will oversee all concessions inside the stadium. Usually concession stands are fairly basic with overpriced and classic options such as popcorn, hot dogs, pretzels, etc. This move by D.C. United follows the trend of teams putting more effort into their food options at sporting events.

Additionally, Audi Field will have numerous locations for fans to hang out or watch the game. There will be spots both inside the stadium and right outside of it as well to allow fans for a better experience. Televisions have become so amazing that people do not attend games to watch closely. Instead, they go for the experience of socializing and the game day festivities.

The last innovation I will talk about is the fact that Audi Field will have valet parking for fans so it is not as much of a struggle to find parking over a mile away and still have to pay for it. D.C. United has their eyes set on the future with their new stadium and we cannot wait to see it come to fruition.

Trak's Take

1. Sporting events are almost completely about the experience and to fill a stadium, you have to accommodate to that. With Audi Field, D.C. United is ensuring this will happen.

2. With all the new areas on-site and new innovations, it has opened up opportunities for sponsors to come in and obtain signage at Audi Field.

3. As the MLS continues to grow and excitement builds for D.C. United with the new stadium, expect sponsorships to be very valuable.
